Delete your account and data

You can delete your huddl account and data directly in the app or request deletion by email.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open huddl.
  2. Go to Settings → Profile.
  3. Choose “Delete account”.
  4. Confirm the permanent deletion.

No access to the app?

Send an email from the email address used for your huddl account with the subject “Account and data deletion”. Include your account email address and username. After verifying ownership, we process the request within a maximum of 30 days.

What data is deleted?

  • Account, profile, and sign-in data
  • Your events, participation records, and invitations
  • Your chat messages, photos, videos, and voice messages
  • Reactions, votes, and other content you created

Retention: Account and profile data are removed after a successful deletion. Event and chat data may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion; server logs for a maximum of 30 days. In shared chats, a neutral “Message deleted” placeholder without the original content or a link to you may remain.

Frequently asked questions

Do my guests need an account?

Yes, every participant needs a free huddl account. Invitees see the event preview in the browser before signing up.

Where is my data stored?

All data is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt am Main). We use Supabase as our backend and are fully GDPR-compliant.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Profile → Delete account. If you cannot access the app, email support@huddl.me from your account address. You can also delete individual messages, media, and your own events directly in the app.

Is huddl available in the App Store yet?

We're preparing the launch. The links on this page will become active as soon as the app is released.
